Gap year Kenya

Kenya is perhaps the best known of Africa’s destinations, but that’s because so much of the continent’s magic can be found here – wildlife wherever you look, but also coral reefs to dive, rainforests to explore, mountains to climb, and all of it amazingly approachable, making it perfect for gap year travel. Kenya also offers some of the greatest sights Nature has to offer in the wildlife migration on the Maasai Mara (you’ve seen the TV trailer, but the real thing blows HD out of the park). “Elemental” is the only word that gets close.

Adventure travel Kenya

Even without the safaris, Kenya has adventure enough for anyone. Head for the Rift Valley and Hell’s Gate National Park, where you can walk unguided through epic landscapes of cliffs and gorges patrolled by lion and leopard. Swim to the depths at Malindi Marine National Park, where the coral reefs provide snorkelling and diving experiences you’ll never forget. Or scale the heights of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro (amateurs allowed).

Student travel Kenya

Kenya is well used to visitors, so it’s easy to get around as a student traveller. And if you’re looking for some city life, Nairobi has a lively café and club scene. There’s lots for culture-lovers too, such as the World Heritage site of Lamu, a centre for Swahili crafts. So why not give Kenya a go on a student travel gap year?

Volunteer work Kenya

However you want to make a contribution, as a volunteer there’s going to be something in Kenya for you to get stuck into. Choices include wildlife conservation, helping disadvantaged youngsters and working alongside tribes people.
