Real Gap Experience introduce 18 New Trips for Gap Travel in 2012
This year, the emphasis is on big experiences in small time spans. Bangkok to Bali:
For those that want to experience it all in just a short space of time, this 28 day trip is the solution. Travellers can make their way through Bangkok, Singapore and arrive in Bali on this undeniable voyage of discovery, soaking up traditional cultures and revelling in the exotic flavours of each region. This is the perfect trip to get a real taste of Nepal, combining culture with adventure. It includes sightseeing in World Heritage sites; Kathmandu and Chitwan National Park, as well as the stunning Himalayan region of Pokhara. To ease travellers into this amazing culture the first few days will include language lessons, cultural information and some sightseeing of Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.
After a few days of orientation in Kathmandu the adventure starts outside of the city, with a day and half of white water rafting on the Trisuli River, followed by a night under the stars camping on the banks of the river. An elephant safari in Chitwan National park is next on the agenda, and may include a chance to see the One-horned Rhino and probably a few monkeys too. While in Chitwan, travellers will also get to go on a jungle walk and see the cultural side to the area with a Tharu Cultural Dance.
Heading out of Chitwan and on to Pokhara, an amazing mountain experience awaits; 5 days trekking in the Annapurna region of the Himalayan Mountains, heading as high as 3600 metres.
