Gap 360's Melissa and Becky shared their experience of Melbourne. Read on to hear all about it.

Hi everyone! We've just left Melbourne for the warmer climates of Alice Springs, preparing for our trip to Uluru in the morning and thought we'd update you!

After 10 days in Melbourne, we think we've seen everything it has to offer, and we loved it! It's true that it's a city with four seasons in one day, so layers and trousers can come in handy. We had to make an emergency stop to outlet mall to buy some!

It really is cafe culture, with lots of cool and funky coffee bars down little cobbled side streets, whose walls are full of street art. It makes your morning latte a lot more interesting!

We explored the popular tourist spots, like the zoo and aquarium, as well as the Eureka Sky Deck which boasts amazing 360 degree views of the city, plus, your chance to get up close and personal with King Kong!

We also spent a day at the beautiful St Kilda, which is a short tram ride away from the city. It's got beaches, bars, and restaurants but the main thing is the penguins! You can get a tour to Phillip Island, this is around $100 to see wild Australian Little Penguins in their natural habitat, however, there is a small colony in St Kilda which you can see for free at sunrise and sunset every day. Well worth a visit!

We'll keep you updated on our Uluru Adventure, finally time to get the sun cream out!
