This is an epic 35-day adventure that will leave you with a huge sense of achievement and some fantastic memories!



Following the physical test of a 12-night trek to Everest Base Camp you will spend 9 nights living and working within a Nepali community where you will gain a real sense of their culture and lifestyle, and lend a much needed hand to the villagers. Your participation in this expedition will facilitate the development of the community projects, as well as providing you with endless rewards.

The Everest Expedition Programme

The 12-night trek to Everest Base Camp may just be one of the hardest challenges of your life, but this expedition doesn’t end there! The programme is centred on giving you a true feeling of the real Nepal.

To enhance your experience, you will then spend nine nights assisting at an orphanage in Kathmandu or Chitwan, or helping with other community work either schools, on farms or national parks.

There will also be a two-day rafting trip combined with a two-night jungle safari. All in all you will have a wide variety of experiences to make your time in Nepal extremely memorable.

Please note: In September/October (19th September - 3rd October in 2009) the Nepalese celebrate the Dashain Festival which is the biggest festival in the country. The second biggest festival is the Tihar festival which is celebrated between the 17th and 19th October (2009) Please be aware that your programme, activities and itinerary may be subject to change at any time but particularly over any public holidays or festivals.

What’s Included in the Programme:

  • All arrival and departure transfers.
  • All accommodation in Kathmandu on twin sharing basis with breakfast.
  • All accommodation in Chitwan on twin sharing basis on a full board basis and with jungle activities.
  • Two days rafting on Trisuli River including overnight camping on full board basis including all rafting equipment and permits.
  • Private transfer from Kathmandu to rafting start point, Chitwan and Kathmandu.
  • Return flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.
  • Services of Sherpa Guides and porters.
  • All accommodation and meals (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) during trek.
  • National Park Fee.

What’s Not Included in the Programme:

  • Nepali Tourist Visa.
  • Flights.
  • Personal travel insurance for the duration of your placement, this should include repatriation and airlift evacuation
  • Airport departure tax at Kathmandu (Nepali Rs.1755 per person payable in local currency - about £14 / 19€)
  • Airport tax in Lukla (Nepali Rs.340 per person payable in local currency (about £2.50 / 3.50€)
  • 18 meals (Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu)
  • All items of a personal nature such as gifts, clothes etc.
  • E-mail and telephone calls
